  18. This is one of those disclaimer thingies which everyone puts in.  Basically the
  19. file your about to read is for informational purposes only, and you should not
  20. under any circumstances whatsoever even contemplate doing anything which is on
  21. this file.  If you ignore this, and do enact what is described in this file, i

  29.      The idea for this came one day, when i was sitting in an electronics class,
  30. and we were supposed to be making some alarm thingy, which would be set of by
  31. crossing through a light beam.  It hit me, that this item had a much better
  32. potential as a handy device in the home militants arsenal of improvised
  33. munitions.  It offered several things that physical tripwires are limited by.
  34.      What the device does is, it stays dormant until it is deprived of light
  35. (by someone crossing the light path) When it doesn't get light, it crosses over
  36. into a secondary circuit, which has an alarm or in our case explosives attached.
  37. So there you go, school isn't a total waste of time is it, and the better thing
  38. about this was, we were being given all the parts i needed to make it...;) which
  39. lets face it is a hell of a lot better than paying for them, and much easier
  40. than acquiring them through illegitemate means.

  42.      The device has many uses.  I've called it a tripwire, because thats what i
  43. thought it would be best as at first.  But it can also be used as an alarm, or a
  44. cross between, where when the alarm goes off, so does the explosives....that
  45. would be quite alarming (bad pun)  Ther good part about it is, its simple and
  46. easy, and relatively cheap.  I'm going to provide two systems, the only
  47. differance will be the addition of a relay, which ups the cost by about $5.

  64. The parts can all be bought at most electronics stores.  Avoid Dick Smith and
  65. Tandy, coz there just too commercial.  I recommend Jay Car Electronics.  All up
  66. the parts should only cost a couple of dollars, but the relay will be about $5,
  67. but it does make the circuit much better.

  69. I'm no good at scematics, so i've done you a VGA of the wiring diagram, so just
  70. copy that.  For the cheaper style, just leave of the resistor, and have you
  71. explosive charge hoocked up to those two wires.  (note- i havn't tried it
  72. without a relay, so i can't guarantee that it will work, however in theory it
  73. should, but it won't be as stable)

  75. The hardest part about this circuit will be the light source, people are going
  76. to see a torch beam focused on the system, i recommend, a bright Red LED, you
  77. can adjust the sensitivity of the system, by turning the trimpot.  Another
  78. variation on the circuit would be to switch the LDR (light dependant resistor),
  79. with a LRR (light resistant resistor) so that as soon as light gets on the
  80. circuit, it is activated.  Good for destroying a room, when someone enters and
  81. turns on a light.
